Smart Transportation is a transportation-oriented service system that makes full use of the Internet of Things, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, automatic control, mobile Internet and other modern Electronic information technologies in the transportation field. It was founded on September 2, 2014. Starting from the South Railway Station, crossing Longquan Mountain, and arriving at Tianfu International Airport – the widely watched Chengdu Metro Line 18 is under intense construction. Chengdu Business Daily-Red Star News reporter learned yesterday that the first phase is expected to open in the middle of next year, and the second phase will also be put into operation by the end of next year.
What is unusual is that this is a complex line: not only the operation mode of fast and slow trains, but after the opening of Line 19 in the future, the two subways will also have some common lines. For subway operation, the signal system needs to solve density, time, rhythm, etc., and is the “brain” of operation. For Metro Line 18, the “brain” is more intelligent, not only with complex big data calculations, but also through intelligent scheduling functions to formulate optimal traffic plans and solve “big traffic problems”.
The first “fast and slow car set running” site will add stock lanes
Can’t squeeze on Line 1 on working days? After the opening of Line 18 next year, this situation will be greatly alleviated. It is understood that the first phase of Line 18 is expected to open for trial operation in the middle of next year, which will effectively relieve the operating pressure of Line 1 and the traffic pressure in the central axis area of Chengdu. The second phase will also be put into operation by the end of next year. Line 18 is positioned as an airport dedicated line, and implements “fast and slow trains” in operation mode. In the express mode, there are only 3 stops from the South Railway Station to the Tianfu International Airport Station, and the whole journey can be controlled in about 40 minutes; while in the slow mode, 11 stops are required.
How can the “fast and slow train run” be independent of each other? “The fast and slow train set has already existed on the railway, but its application in urban rail transit has just begun.” Yuan Guo, project manager of Chengdu Line 18, a subsidiary of CASCO in Chengdu It is said that, just like the railway, the railway station will be added to the station to realize the waiting of the slow train and the passage of the express train. CASCO mainly provides train control systems for Chengdu Metro Lines 4 and 7, as well as Lines 9, 17 and 18 under construction. If the addition of strands is a physical reaction, the addition of a signaling system can be called a “chemical transformation.”
In general, a poorly organized deployment of fast trains will sacrifice time in slow trains. “Through operation simulation, we simulate and calculate the overtaking stations of express trains according to the driving conditions of the line. We will give an optimal suggestion on the proportion of fast and slow trains, and what kind of passenger flow should be dealt with.” Yuan Guo He told reporters that in the actual operation of Line 18, the new signal system newly developed by the company will be adopted, and a reasonable ratio of fast and slow trains will be realized through big data simulation.
In actual operation, there are strict requirements on the stop time, interval travel time, speed, etc. According to this implementation, you can see that whenever the express train catches up with the local train, the local train just enters the station, so that the express train can pass directly. , while the slow train does not need to wait extra. It is understood that with this new operating mode, the automatic ticket collection system will be changed accordingly, and two passages and spaces for express trains and local trains will be set up.
Intelligent operation control enhances the riding experience and comfortably passes through the Longquanshan Tunnel
In addition to the reasonable control of the vehicle, the new signal system also improves the passenger’s riding experience through humanized design. As an airport special line, Line 18 will reach a speed of 140km/h and will pass through Longquan Mountain. “When you usually take a high-speed train, you will obviously feel the change in ear pressure when you enter and exit the tunnel, which is very uncomfortable. In order to avoid this situation, we have optimized the signal system.” Yuan Guo introduced that when entering and exiting the tunnel, the signal system is used to monitor the train’s movement. The running speed is adjusted to make the passenger experience better.
For the air shaft area of the long tunnel, a protection design is carried out that only allows a single train to run to ensure the air circulation in the car; for the problem of the large difference between the air pressure inside and outside the train when the train runs at high speed, the system will adjust the air conditioning and ventilation devices according to different train positions. control. In addition, the system can also support flexible station dumping according to the construction of the line. “In practical applications, if a certain station does not have operating conditions, the train will automatically stop when it arrives at the station.” Yuan Guo said that in the later stage, more humanized designs will be added according to the actual operation situation.
Lines 18 and 19 share a section of the line, “smart brain” solves major traffic problems
“The real difficulty came after Line 18 and Line 19 were both opened, because they shared a section of the line.” Yuan Guo said, the biggest feature of the signal system is that it can achieve unified management in accordance with networked operations for co-line situations. . Under normal circumstances, the signal system has simulated the inherent operating conditions and only needs to operate according to the preset settings. However, once a fault occurs, how to adapt to the changes poses challenges to the operation organization and scheduling of the signal system.
“Express trains can’t drive, or slow trains can’t reach the overpass stop in time to give way to express trains. Once all the cars behind are blocked, there will be a ‘traffic problem’, that is, Line 19 cannot be driven, and Line 18 will not be able to drive. Can’t open.” Yuan Guo told reporters that for such situations, the company has upgraded the signal system in the actual simulation operation to make it more intelligent. In the event of an emergency, the signal system automatically calculates according to the conditions of the vehicles running on the line, the running time of each section, and the alternating running of fast and slow trains. The huge data calculation is completed in the first time. Then through the intelligent dispatching function, the optimal traffic plan can be formulated at the first time to restore the normal order.
