How strong is Intel with 16,384 cores?

So what is the performance of 16384 cores? Before discussing this issue, let’s first refer to the performance of the Intel core Display.

How strong is Intel with 16,384 cores?

This is the 3DMark FSE test result of Dell XPS 13 2in1 notebook! This notebook is equipped with Intel i7-1065G7 processor, built-in 64 EU execution units, a total of 512 cores, frequency 1.1GHz. Its 3DMark FSE graphics score is 1404 points, which is about 10% worse than the 1500 points of the full blood version of the MX150 (full blood MX150 Boost frequency is 1532MHz).

Of course, there must be many students questioning that Intel’s core performance is very good, but the performance of the game frame rate is not satisfactory.

In fact, this is a common problem of the nuclear display. The nuclear display must not only share the 15W TDP with the CPU, but also share the memory bandwidth with the system; and the full-blooded MX150 can not only enjoy the 25W TDP, but also exclusive 2GB of GDDR5 video memory. From here, you can see what is the reason for the abnormal performance of the nuclear display in the game.

Not only Intel’s nuclear display, AMD’s nuclear display is also facing the same problem! Ryzen 5 3500U has a built-in Vega8 GPU with 512 stream processors, which is equivalent to the mobile version of RX 550 in terms of parameters. 3DMark’s running scores are not much different, but in actual games, the two will show a very big gap. .

Now come back to the Intel Xe graphics card. The maximum is 2048 EU execution units and 16384 cores. The overall specification is 32 times that of i7-1065G7, which is equivalent to at least 12288 Turing stream processors, which is 2.8 RTX 2080 Ti. . Of course, the premise is that Intel’s driver can fully utilize the performance of the GPU.

The single-precision floating-point performance of the Intel Xe graphics card with 2048 EUs is 36 TFlops. Compared with the 13.4 TFlops single-precision floating-point performance of the RTX 2080 Ti, the gap between the two is exactly 2.7 times.

After 12 years, Intel’s determination to return to the independent display field is extraordinary. We also believe that Intel has the strength to challenge NVIDIA’s monopoly in the independent display field!
